Under beautiful blue skies Mike Herdina and I set out from Pagosa Springs, CO for Nashville, TN via Jacksonville, IL. A bit round about way to go, but our plan was to visit my nephew David and great nieces and nephew in IL along the way.
In December, just before Christmas, David lost his wife Allison and the mother and step-mother of his four children in a terrible car accident. I’m happy to say he’s holding up well and doing a great job with the children. We enjoyed a fun evening and morning and got to attend the Springfield, IL parade to watch Kaia and Davin march in the band. Fun visit.
We also had a wonderful visit with friends Lucy McCollough St. John and Barbara Stanfill before finally arriving in Nashville to spend time with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter Avery. A wonderful Journey in Henri 🙂
