I generally never leave Alaska in the summer but this year I made a special exception for my granddaughter. She turned two; that magic age when children are talking, interacting and playing with a vengeance. Since my birthday is this month as well and I’m turning 60, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to spend this year together. I spent four days in Arizona with my daughter Michelle and her man Michael before heading on for Tennessee and the big birthday celebration.
I spent eight wonderful days in Tennessee playing with Avery. I love two. What a fun time being a grandma. Life is amazing and I know just how blessed I am thanks to my son Allen and daughter-in-law Stacey.
